In January 2001, Capital Electric Line Builders was purchased by MDU Resources Group, Inc., becoming part of the MDU Construction Services Group, Inc. family.

MDU Construction Services Group provides electrical and mechanical and transmission and distribution specialty contracting services. It serves customers in the utility, manufacturing, transportation, commercial, industrial, institutional, renewable and government markets.

MDU Construction Services Group’s single project bonding capacity is $100,000,000; aggregate project bonding capacity is $900,000,000.
